The Value of Web-Based, Mobile & Collaborative Software
At InVivoLink, we believe that Web-based, cloud-based, collaborative, and mobile software technologies can reduce waste and improve patient care. Using this technology, we have introduced an innovative way to bring together all the participants in the clinical care continuum to empower the collection and dissemination of evidence-based information.
- More Secure – All data is stored in secure, monitored, redundant, backed-up servers within a state-of-the-art data center. If, for some reason, that data center were to fail (which it never has), the connection would immediately re-route to a redundant data center across the globe. No data is saved locally where it could be accessed by the wrong person. No data will fall into the wrong hands should a laptop be stolen.
- Less IT – You don’t have to worry about installing hardware or software. You don’t have to worry about upgrades, backups, downloads, uploads, or installs. Just focus on your work –and we’ll take care of the rest.
- No “Hidden” Costs – With many traditional enterprise software projects, there are “hidden” costs: the length and rate of implementation and adoption, users only taking advantage of 10% of the application, the delayed time to market of the application, the high deployment risk, slow product advancement cycles. The IVL management team has lived these projects. We want you to know that there’s a better way.
- Work Where and When You Want – It’s more accessible… in the OR between cases, on the road, even at the game. InVivoLink lets you work where you want, when you want. Critical events do not just happen when you are in the office. You never know when you might need to access updated case or inventory information. With IVL, your data is always available on your device of choice, wherever you are.
- Work How You Want – InVivoLink believes in the power of Web-enabled devices as a disruptive force in the medical device community. Using InVivoLink, physicians have more flexibility in scheduling workflows and easier access to critical data. Distributor are able to integrate fixed and variable workflows to bridge operations and sales. Physicians can sleep well on Sunday night, knowing the inventory for Monday’s cases has been prepared.
“Customers can spend up to four times the cost of their software license per year to manage their applications.” – Gartner
What device makes you happy? iPhone? iPad? Blackberry? Android? InVivoLink knows the value of being multi-modal. Why wouldn’t you allow your team the ability to work on hardware that makes them happiest and most productive? Phones, touchscreen computers, scanners, and other hardware devices are evolving and changing rapidly. These innovations allow InVivoLink to advance our products in new, interesting ways. Enabling and supporting multiple devices costs more, but we believe that there’s payback in the productivity improvements and system adoption rates. The only way to get a return on investment is through system adoption and the way to drive adoption is by giving people tools they want to use.
Easier – From every angle:
- Easier to Deploy – IVL’s software can often be implemented remotely. That saves money and reduces our impact on your operations. The result is a quicker risk-adjusted return for the client.
- Easy to Pilot – Go ahead… try it out! You can always cancel if it isn’t making sense (but we don’t think you will).
- Easier to Support – Collaborative technologies built into our solution allow us to capture and understand real-time user information to strengthen and improve customer service. Our support team is able to understand the user experience, see where roadblocks exist, and work with users to resolve issues quickly.
- Easier to Release New Functionality – We frequently release new functionality based on client feedback. Being Web-based means that there’s less time between when we implement a great idea and when you can use it.
- Easier to Scale – By leveraging a one-to-many application delivery model, IVL is capable of supporting mass adoption across the network on one code base.
- Easier to Share (With the Right People) – Being Web-based allows hospitals, physicians, sales reps, and distributor operations to all share the same information in real-time. That’s how relationships should work.
- Easier to Change – We believe in being agile. We can flex our application based on the needs of our clients more rapidly than our competitors.
The Value of Open
Relax, healthcare is now open. (And “open” does not mean unsecure!)
Organizations, supply chains, and systems that communicate win. We realize the importance of system integration to the success and adoption of our products. That’s why we offer Web services and legacy system integration options to our clients.
InVivoLink Data Policies: Security & Ownership
InVivoLink Data Security
Your data is safe. IVL realizes that data security is a major concern. So we’ve introduced data security measures to put your mind at ease. Your data that flows to us can be encrypted and written to multiple disks. It is backed up daily and stored in multiple locations.
Our physical data centers are secure at a Time Warner Data Center. These facilities have best-of-breed security measures and co-location:
- Interior and exterior monitoring (around the clock)
- Uninterrupted power for continuous operation in the event of a utility failure
- Fire suppression infrastructure
- Redundant APC infrastructure
Our servers and software are firewall protected and dutifully updated with the latest security protocols. If something were to fail, we have redundancy in place so that we can switch over and protect our clients.
InVivoLink Data Ownership
You own your data. Should you terminate your service, you have the right to request that your data be delivered back to you.
InVivoLink works alongside clients on industry data initiatives. Any of your data used for these analytics projects will be blinded unless we receive written consent from you.
